Stuyvesant - Lillian B Tomlin 79, was called to Heaven while in the company of her family on Thursday April 4, 2024 at Pine Haven Nursing Home in Philmont. Born on May 14, 1944 in Hirson, France, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Theresa Sorokey. After graduating from Ockawamick High School, Lillian's first job was waitressing at Mary's Claverack Diner where she met Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio. She then worked at Filli's Market in Claverack as a Cashier where she met Michael "Mike" Tomlin whom she would later marry and operate 2 dairy farms with. Lillian also worked and retired from Shop-Rite in Hudson after 51 years.
She is survived by one son Kevin J. Tomlin, her loving brother Alan F. Sorokey and grandchildren Angel (Tomlin) Richards, Alicia Oliveri and Kevin Tomlin Jr. Great grandchildren: Sophia, Reece, Haisley and Theodore. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Mike Tomlin in 2022.
Calling hours will be 10 to 12 p.m. on Saturday April 13, 2024 at the Sacco Funeral Home 700 Town Hall Drive Hudson. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon with Bob Pruesser officiating. Burial will follow in Livingston Cemetery.
