The following restaurants were inspected by the Columbia County Department of Health during July:

  • The Main Street Diner in Valatie was inspected on July 23 and cited for multiple violations, including dead insects present in the basement dry storage area and a dirty exhaust fan in the downstairs walk-in cooler with grease and dirt accumulation. In addition, the restaurant was cited for not having towels in the men’s bathroom.
  • The Grand Buffet in Hudson was inspected on July 23 and found to have a large amount of grease accumulation on the walls and floor around the grill area where fryers are positioned.
  • The Copake Lake Boat and Ski was inspected on July 10 and cited for grease and dust accumulation on the exhaust fan in the kitchen. An inspector also cited the establishment for having a light unshielded over the grill and cook area.
  • Relish Hudson was inspected on July 24 and given a clean bill of health.
