COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
- Trevor J. Brodowski, 31, of Pulcher Avenue, Hudson, N.Y. was arrested Aug. 11 by Columbia County Sheriff’s Sgt. William Zincio on a charge of petit larceny. Brodowski stole merchandise valued in excess of $165 from the Fairview Avenue Wal-Mart store. Arrested without incident, Brodowski was released with an appearance ticket directing him to appear in the Greenport Town Court at a later date.
- James L. Coleman, Jr., 29, of Main Street, Philmont, N.Y. was arrested Aug. 20 by Columbia County Deputy Sheriff David Rose on a charge of Criminal Contempt in the second degree. Coleman violated an order of protection issued by Columbia County Family Court Judge Jonathan Nichols by entering and remaining on the property of an individual he had been directed to stay away from. The incident occurred on County Route 20 in the town of Ghent. Taken into custody at a different location without incident, Coleman was arraigned by Claverack Town Justice Michael Brandon and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bail bond. Coleman will appear in the Ghent Town Court at a later date.
- Meghan Carver, 19, of State Route 9, Stockport, N.Y. was arrested Aug. 28 by Columbia County Sheriff’s Sgt. William Zincio on a charge of sexual misconduct, a class A misdemeanor. Carver engaged in sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old male on Aug. 20 in the Town of Stockport. Arrested without incident, Carver was issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear in the Stockport Town Court 7 p.m. Sept. 13.
