Joseph J. Gambino of Glenwood Blvd. and lifelong Hudson resident died Saturday May 7, at St. Peters Hospital in Albany. He was 80. Born in Hudson on May 6, 1930 he was the son of the late Santo and Giovanna (DiMaria Rosano) Gambino. After High School Mr. Gambino served one year in the U.S. Navy and several years in the Naval Reserve, he was a construction worker and later a salesman for Culligan Water Conditioners in Hudson until his retirement. Joseph was a member of St. Mary's Church in Hudson, Life member of Washington Hose Co. in Hudson as well as the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. # 787.
Survivors include his wife Joanne V. (Martin) Gambino, 2 sons: Joseph and (Linda) Gambino of Claverack, John Gambino of Orlando, FL, 3 daughters: Gina and (Ray) Koskowski of Greenport, Sarah and (Tom) Quinion of Hudson, and MaryJo Gambino of Claverack, one sister Sarah Krupa of Greenport and many grand and great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by 2 brothers Anthony and Salvatore as well as a sister Jackie Kraft.
