County plans way out of Ockawamick

Columbia County has a timeline to be out of the former Ockawamick School in Claverack it bought about six years ago, for $1.5 million, perhaps as early as this summer.

Members of the Board of Supervisors’ County Government Committee at Tuesday’s meeting received copies of a seven-step timeline, handed out by Columbia County Planning/Economic Development Commissioner Ken Flood, that showed three of the steps to sell the 77,600-square-foot facility, on Route 217, as complete.
