Agency gets pushback on Seventh Street Park plan

The second public meeting devoted solely to the future of Seventh Street Park revealed stronger opinions, deeper divisions and less consensus on the future design of the park than were apparent at the first meeting June 17.

Landscape architect Cathryn Dwyre, tasked by the Hudson Development Corp. to study alternative plans for the park, laid out several problems she sees with its current condition and several ideas for its renovation. One problem is the profusion of Norway maples, an invasive species that has been banned in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
