HUDSON — Armed with an American flag, Chatham resident David Luck shoved the banner into the wooden barrel of a semiautomatic rifle replica before speaking to approximately 120 Columbia County residents at Wednesday’s Legal Committee meeting.
City Attorney Cheryl Roberts claimed, however, that Luck’s fears were unfounded. The city’s draft law would be invalidated by New York State’s Penal Law.
