“I believe we were created for such a time as this,” Quintin Cross told a crowd of about 80 people assembled at Seventh Street Park in Hudson Thursday evening for a vigil dedicated to Trayvon Martin.

Martin is the African-American teenager who died at the hands of neighborhood watch coordinator George Zimmerman Feb. 26, 2012 in Sanford, Fla. A jury of six women acquitted Zimmerman of second-degree murder and manslaughter Saturday.
