Most of us who are well-steeped in the oily juices of our own workaday world enjoy a splash of fresh, unattenuated imagination on occasion, and the final unit of Hudson's Flag Day parade Saturday provided just such a moment.

The end was brought up by an old reconfigured fire department vehicle. A woman riding on top wore a taxidermized deer head on her back.
