STUYVESANT — Signs made in support of Stuyvesant resident Will Pflaum’s Glencadia Dog Camp were vandalized in an apparent one-night graffiti spree last week.

Someone defaced at least eight signs posted on residential properties along major roads in Stuyvesant. The graffiti apparently took place sometime during the evening of Sept. 17.

    "FACE THE BOARD"

I must say I have followed this story since the start. I have read most articles posted in the Register Star, ( as bias as most of them are) but I did not understand what the true nature of the matter was until I watched a video of the Z.B.A hearing . Glencadia does not stand a chance in front of this board. I have never seen such professionalism in my life. The more I watched the more I wanted to kill the video but it was like a train wreck I could not take my eyes off of it even though I sat in disbelief. I believe it was not children who painted the signs. I think if it is truly investigated everyone will be very surprised who did it. My best wishes to the dog camp and to the family representing it because the boards mind is made up no matter what you say.I would post a link but I think it will prevent the reg from posting this, but if I would I would tell you my web site which from this point on will have a link to your blog.GOOD LUCK MY FRIENDS !!!

I don't understand why people aren't more upset about all the wasted money persecuting one person. Let the dogs bark and save hundreds of thousands. It's a no-brainer!

that's right blame the victim bd....was it 'legitimate' vandalism or just plain old vandalism? maybe the signs have ways of deciding which Stuyvesant thugs are 'real' thugs and not just your usual re-thug-licans...

Hey Register Star, I don't like people accusing me of filing a false police report or of vandalizing my own signs. I believe you should allow this comment through, here noting that these accusations are baseless and outrageous, take down those comments, as you heavily screen comments generally, or you will be defaming me.

Bob, AKA bigdog, are you saying I filed a false police report and that I vandalized my own property and the property of my friends? Quite a charge.

Do you know who might be a suspect, Bob?

Been following the Pflaum/Town of Stuyvesant saga for a while now... common sense says there is one person, and one person only, who would hope to benefit from this "horrible crime". As less and less people offer support to Mr. Pflaum, and his ridiculous claim of a town vendetta against him, the defaced signs appear to be a desperate attempt to re-kindle the lost support of people who have become tired of the endless lawsuits and personal attacks on neighbors and town officials viewed as a threat to his business.

I find it particularly noteworthy that the vandalized dog signs remain intact just as the perpetrators left them over a week ago! I know that if it had be me or my family that had been soon violated by the destruction of our own personal property that I would not have hesitated to expunge all visible evidence of the dirty deed! It is my opinion that this so called “CRIME” was an inside job designed to whip up support amongst the camps flagging followers! If a few possible “NAMED” suspects were also pressured during any possible police investigation then all the better! There are more than a few neighbors of the camp that have been hesitate to come forward because of Pflaums continued strong arming and very intimidating tactics!

your saying the town of Stuyvesant does not hire 12 special prosecutors every
time they issue a barking dog ticket?

Vendetta ; that is nonsense Stuyvesant spends 300,000 to prosecute every barking dog ticket.
