HUDSON — After dispute among residents and management over colors, both sides came together Sunday night to paint benches outside Bliss Towers in three bright hues.

The Hudson Housing Authority Board of Commissioners voted unanimously May 20 to authorize the painting of four benches outside the front entrance of the building. Plans to paint the benches were initially delayed when a group led by Joan Hunt, project director of Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhoods, and and Tiffany Garriga, D-2nd Ward, was told by HHA Executive Director Jeff First that the benches could not be painted. First said the women had not gotten proper permission from the board, while the women said they had approached him and gotten approval for the painting months earlier.
