KINDERHOOK — A building in the village of Kinderhook damaged by fire, yet still standing, may require demolition if nothing is done to improve its structural integrity, according to an engineering report presented to the village board this week by Code Enforcement Officer Glenn Smith.

Plans for Lagonia’s, an Italian restaurant, went awry in November when a fast moving fire swept through the top two floors at 6 Broad St. and 4 Broad St., located between an empty three story building and Anderson Agency real estate.
