HUDSON — Rob Johanson is 55. His birthday, and the passing of the open mic series he created and managed, will be celebrated at the series’ final session with songs and jams at 9 p.m. tonight at the Red Dot, 321 Warren St., Hudson. Signups are at 8:30 p.m.

It was a series where the miking was great, the room was friendly and the feedback was generous. Now, Johanson said, he needs a break.
