COLUMBIA COUNTY — The operations of the Columbia County Courthouse will be moved from Hudson to the old Claverack School in January to allow uninterrupted renovations at the current courthouse, based on an agreement approved by the full Columbia County Board of Supervisors Wednesday evening. The school, located at State Route 23B, is about two-and-a-half miles outside the city of Hudson.

The county will pay the Hudson City School District, which owns the building, $110,000 to rent out the space for one year. If the county needs more time for renovations, it could agree on a month-to-month lease with the school district.
