HUDSON - Pushed by wind or lightning, an 1869 church steeple fell into Sixth Street in Hudson during the height of Wednesday evening’s thunderstorms. The steeple of the former St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church lay across half the street, looking like a coneshaped tin bag full of bricks someone had dropped.

The building was purchased a few years ago by Henry Hirsch and converted into one of the most prestigious recording studios on the East Coast, Waterfront Studios.
