GREENPORT — The town of Greenport looks to have a new police station and senior center come October for the bargain-basement price of $325,000. The Town Board voted last week to purchase bonds in that amount to buy and renovate the Sternfeld Dance Studio, right across Town Hall Drive from Town Hall, where the present police station and senior center are located.

Of the bonded amount, $150,000 will go to buy the building from dance teacher Jean Villers, and $175,000 will be used for upgrades.
