This winter has actually been a winter so far. Back in the day, we always had lots of snow and cold, but we’ve had a few mild winters and we’ve all kind of forgot what winter is really like in the Northeast.

Draperies are made of heavy weight fabrics and are sometimes even lined so that they block out much or all of the light entering through your windows, as well as the cold. Unlike curtains, which usually remain in place, draperies are designed to be opened and closed as needed. Draperies can be used alone, but usually have an under layer of curtains, blinds, shades or shutters.
