Is there anyone among us who’s never gone through the garbage looking for something we can’t find? We’ve looked everywhere without success, even searched the same places more than once just to postpone going through the trash. Of course it can be a good idea to search a second time in an area because of the law of “But it wasn’t there the first time I looked.”

Things misplaced, hiding in plain sight or winding up in the trash almost always occur when we’re stressed out. This can happen to the most organized among us. For example, something that has had the same “home” for years and years will turn up missing or an important document will land in the garbage.
