Cancer Kickin Warriors

  • Inez Whitehead-Dickens, a breast cancer survivor, tells the stories of people that have survived all kinds and stages of cancer. She also counsels people who have been diagnosed with cancer; participates in cancer walks and is a board member of The Greene County Women's League Cancer Patient Aid, which is a nonprofit, (strictly volunteer) cancer organization.

Consider all the angles after cancer diagnosis

First as a cancer survivor, I recognize and appreciate the great work our physicians do. Where would we be without them? However, there are two things that get my panties twisted. I’ve talked to women, who when meeting with an oncologist for the first time after being diagnosed with advanced breast cancer, are being told, “I believe in preserving the breast!”
