BOGC charitable foundation accepting grant applications

The Bank of Greene County’s Charitable Foundation is accepting grant applications from eligible organizations through Jan. 15, 2010.
According to Foundation and Bank President Donald Gibson, the foundation supports qualifying non-profit organizations that foster low and moderate income housing, education, health and wellness, social and civic services and culture and the arts.
Since its inception in 1998, the foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $450,000. And during these difficult economic times, the bank is happy to report that this year’s disbursement will continue to be $55,000.
Approved applicants can expect to receive their grant money some time after May 1, 2010.
Interested organizations can obtain more information on the grant application process from the bank’s web site, www.tbogc.com. The bank is the only locally based community bank with offices in Greene, Columbia, and Albany counties.
