Twins begin conference play
Columbia-Greene Community College kicked off its Mountain Valley Athletic Conference schedule Thursday night with a home game against SUNY Delhi. It looks like the Twins have a lot of talent, but early in the game they relied heavily on 3-point shooting.
Once the guys slowed down and took their time, they played well and gave the Broncos all they could handle for the majority of the first half.
There’s nothing wrong with tossing up shots from behind the arc but the Twins are going to have to get inside the paint more to better balance their offense. On the defensive side, the guys are scrappy, hard-working rebounders and shot blockers.
I know this is early in the season but it looks like Robert Jones and Kamal Ramos are staking claim on this team. Jones scored 15 points and Ramos had 11 points and 11 boards when all was said and done.
