Avis J. Dallas
Avis “Bud” J. Dallas, 82, of Greenport, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at Community Hospice at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born April 23, 1927 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Joseph and Nellie Dallas.
Bud worked as a sales manager for Noecker Buick Pontiac and also for Malasky Ford.
He was a lifelong area resident.
Bud was a member of the Stuyvesant Falls VFW 9593 and a member and past president of the Greenport Fire Company #3.
Surviving are his wife, Rosemary (Theysohn) Dallas of Greenport; his son and daughter-in-law, James and Pam Dallas of Hudson; his daughter, Donna J. Dallas of Fishkill; two granddaughters, Jennifer Taylor and Christina Dallas, both of Hudson; two great-grandsons, Anthony and Kameron Taylor, both of Hudson, and his nephew, Joseph Plass of Churchtown.
He was predeceased by his son, Micheal Dallas.
Visiting hours are 6-8 pm Thursday at the Bates & Anderson - Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
