TH honors athletes

CRARYVILLE — Taconic Hills honored its fall student athletes Monday with an awards ceremony at the high school.

In varsity football, Nolan Boice won the MVP; Nick Warren took home the Coach’s Award; James McDarby won the MIP; Chris McKay won the Offensive Award and Jaron Halsted earned the Defensive Award.

In JV football Dylan Decker won the MIP; Spencer Winters and Jesse Miles each won a Hustle Award; and Lauren Runyon won the Sportsmanship Award.

For girls varsity soccer, Brianna Kring took home the MIP; Jamie Albrecht won the MIP; and both Johanna Boice and Alexis McComb earned a Coach’s Award.


Girls JV soccer honored Ali Schermerhorn with the Hustle Award and Bridgette Proper won the MIP.

In varsity field hockey, Rachel Preusser and Tess Meenagh were named co-MVP; Katie Teaney and Kayla Henderson won Coach’s Awards; and Sandra Santana won the MIP.

For JV field hockey, GiGi Markham won the Hustle Award and Nicole Torchia won the Sportsmanship Award.

Chris Thompson won the MVP in boys varsity soccer; Johnathan Skabowski won the MIP; Colton Maher took home the Sportsmanship Award; Jack Mierzejewski was honored with the Coach’s Award; and Mitchell Albrecht won the Leadership Award.

In JV boys soccer Shaine Babjek won the MIP and Edward Delprincipe won the Sportsmanship Award.

Girls volleyball gave Kara Williams the MIP Award; Amanda Traver the Coach’s Award; Laura Davenport the Leadership Award; and Laila Mooring-Frye the Rookie Award.


In varsity golf, Kyle Preusser won the MVP and both Michael Jacobsen and John Kading won Coach’s Awards.

Alissa Cleveland won the MVP in cheerleading and Brittany Piser won the MIP.
