Operation Rescue to aid Salvation Army
Operation Rescue, a special project sponsored by Subway and ST Hudson Plumbing, will help the Hudson Salvation Army provide food and services to struggling families in this community, announced Salvation Army Capt. April Griffiths, director.
“We are so excited that these two companies have come together to help us raise the funds and get the food items necessary to feed our local families,” she said.
Operation Rescue will have pick-up trucks stationed at 804 Columbia St. in Hudson from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
“We are asking the caring people of the community to stop by after church or after Sunday dinner and to bring non-perishable food items or to make a monetary tax-deductible donation of any size. Our goal is to fill the trucks,” said the captain.
All donations will be used to help support the efforts of the Salvation Army in Hudson and the county.
“Thank you to all who have worked on this project and to all who will take the time to help local families and individuals in crisis,” added Griffiths.
