Jack Connor overall winner of Ghostly Gallop
Theresa Maiuri wins women’s race
HUDSON — Jack Connor was the overall winner of the Hudson Area Association Library’s 5K fundraiser, the Ghostly Gallop, according to a release from the library.
Connor was the overall winner with a time of 19 minutes, 31 seconds, and was followed by male finishers Ken Pierce (19:32) and David Martinson (21:12). The overall female winners were Theresa Maiuri (22:49), Julie Castle (23:30) and Erin Russo (25:42).
After the 5k race, held on Oct. 25, there was a one-mile Kids Race for children 12 and younger. The overall boy winners were Jarid Neal (7:56), Nick Bernockie and Spencer Goldstien (8:03 sec) and Jamie Cashen (8:29). The overall girl winners were Melissa Frishkoff (8:15), Livvy Cashen (8:29) and Sophie Cashen (9:50).
The fundraising activity has been an annual event supported by the community since 2001 with a one-year hiatus in 2005.
“The library greatly appreciates the hard work and dedication to the Ghostly Gallop Committee, the many volunteers, sponsors, and participants in making this a successful event. The Library Board of Trustees is grateful to the community for its continuous support of this annual event,” Hudson Area Association Library Director Corey Fleming said, according to the release.
