Opening Harrier Hill Park
Stockport Supervisor Leo Pulcher, Scenic Hudson Senior Vice President Steve Rosenberg and Columbia Land Conservancy’s Director of Conservation Programs Tony Colyer-Pendas cut a ribbon to mark the opening of the Harrier Hill Park Tuesday. The opening was witnessed by the park’s first official users, a group of youngsters from the Hudson Head Start Program who afterwards were treated to pumpkin carving, cider and doughnuts. The park, located off Rod and Gun Club Road in Stockport, is 6.5 acres and offers views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains, has an open-sided pavilion and a handicapped-accessible trail.
