CLAVERAK - James T. Murray, 68, of Mobile Lane, died Friday, October 16, 2009, at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Thomas Murray and Gertrude Ryan Murray and husband of the late Shirley A. Peters Murray. He was raised in Troy, resided in Stuyvesant and for the past 13 years in Claverack. Murray was a Graduate of Troy High School.

Mr. Murray was employed as a computer programmer for Overton Russell & Doerr in Albany for several years.

Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly (Warren Walz) Murray and Melissa Murray, both of Claverack; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William G. and Debbie Peters of Troy; his grandchildren, Sean, Nicole, Jessica, Heather and Jason Walz; his nephews, Billy, Andy, Chris and Chad Peters and Josh Jones and several grand nieces and nephews.


Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy with Rev. Karyl Hopp , Pastor of Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m.

Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
