Birdie F. Denniston

Birdie F. Denniston, 88, of Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Catskill, passed away on Sept. 11, 2009, in Nashville, Tenn.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1920, in Indian Mound, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late John M. and Mabel (Gillum) Ford.

Survivors include her children John M. Conarpe, Betty Ann (Roy) Zimmerman, PeggyLou (John) Zakrzewski, Mary (Bill) Shaw, LouElla (Roger) Lane, M. Douglas (Peggy) Denniston, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her siblings John Ford, T. Paul Ford and Katie Self.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands William A. Conarpe and Louis M. Denniston, and her children James F. Conarpe, Patrick Conarpe and Mabel M. Street.


Interment took place Sept. 15, 2009, under the direction of the Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tenn., at the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, Tenn., officiated by Rev. Dewayne James.
