Germantown in the dark for hours
By Andrew Amelinckx
Almost 1,400 residents in Germantown were without power Monday for several hours due, said National Grid, to a malfunctioning piece of equipment.
According to Patrick Stella, a spokesman for the power company, a faulty regulator that is used in regulating voltage was located by crews on Hill Top Road in Germantown.
“It’s mechanical,” he said, “and sometimes they need to be replaced.”
The power was out from about 1:30 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. said Stella.
