Trooper John Reppucci of the State Police at Livingston pulled over Raymond C. Walz, 37, of Livingston on Saturday for allegedly driving 57 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 19. The trooper allegedly discovered he possessed a variety of prescription pills, hypodermic needles, and a glass pipe commonly used for smoking crack cocaine, containing cocaine residue, police said. Reppucci took Walz into custody where he was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and possession of hypodermic needles. Walz was then arraigned in the Town of Livingston Court, and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in Lieu of $10,000 bail or bond. —Paul Crossman
