Accident on Route 66 sends one to CMH Robert Ragaini/Hudson-Catskill Newspapers Rescuers place the passenger in the vehicle at left onto a stretcher to be transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital after the car she was riding in was struck in the rear on Route 66 just south of the intersection with Route 9H Wednesday. According to Deputy Sheriff K.C. Bauhof, the vehicle, driven by Tina Prigge, 45, of Norfalk, Conn., was southbound on Route 66 when she stopped to turn left into the Mobil Mart. She was then struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Anne Baldwin, 64, of Ghent. Neither driver was injured and Prigge's passenger complained of lower back pain and a laceration to the arm and was transported by Greenport Rescue Squad to CMH. West Ghent Fire Company also assisted on scene. Though the investigation is continuing, Deputy Bauhof noted that there are no left turn signs posted at the Mobil Mart entrance on Route 66.
