The Hudson Police have arrested the man they say slashed a woman's face with a box cutter during an argument July 30 on Columbia Street in Hudson.
Amario Nathaniel Milliner, 31, of Hudson was picked up by HPD Friday afternoon on South Seventh Street near Warren Street.
"The victim saw him and called police," said Lt. Richard Paolino. "Officers followed up the information and we made the arrest without any problems."
Police said that Milliner cut the woman on her face and arm during an argument concerning a third, unnamed person.
“The suspect was not personally known by the victim,” said Paolino.
The victim fled the scene by car to the Hudson Police station, and was bleeding and trying to call authorities when she hit a parked car on North First Street.
She was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital, treated and released.
Milliner has been charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The suspect served time in prison in the late 1990s for criminally negligent homicide out of Monroe County.
Milliner was taken to the Greenport Town Court for arraignment. No other details were available by press time.
