Hudson trips up Catskill in Little League All-Stars

Hudson 13, Catskill 3

CATSKILL — The Hudson 9-10 year old All-Stars opened the District 15 tournament by defeating Catskill 13-3 in five innings on Saturday in Catskill.

Hudson’s Derek DeLamater earned the win on the mound with relief help from Jeremy Ramirez and Joshua Ramirez. The trio combined for six Ks, seven walks and three hits.

Catskill pitchers Justyn Lacy, Eric White and Hunter Pilatich combined for nine Ks, nine walks and 11 hits in the loss.


Offensively for Hudson, Tyler Drahushuk had a double and single with one RBI, Joshua Moon had two singles with three RBIs, Derek DeLamater had a double with two RBIs, Jordan Bain had a double with one RBI, Brian Herring added a single with one RBI and Steve Bowes, Jeremy Ramirez and Joshua Ramirez each added a single.

Offensively for Catskill, Hunter Pilatich had a double while Kiana Harris and Justyn Lacy added singles.

Hudson improves to 1-0 while Catskill falls to 0-1.

Northern Columbia 23, Southern Columbia 10

KINDERHOOK — Northern Columbia crushed Southern Columbia 23-10 this weekend in the opening round of Little League All-Star action.

Danny Yankowski had a triple, two doubles and a single and Casey Rutkey added three hits to lead Northern Columbia’s offense. Tyler Fuchs paced Southern Columbia with two hits.


Four Northern Columbia pitchers combined to give up eight hits in the win.
