My daughter Virginia, “the Spirit of ’76,” (January 23, 1976 - April 24, 2009), leaving this earth to arrive at heaven’s gate. Unmarried, unattached. Pure in mind, body and spirit! With Jesus, fully within her heart. Hosanna! Hosanna! Hosanna! In age of 33, would seem not many? But the roads of life she traveled were many! Giving so many of us her strong determined spirit of help. Willingly and freely. With a casual indifference.
Virginia’s absolute joy and appreciation of God’s unbeatable creations of nature’s wonder. As she traveled from the beaches of Florida, Nova Scotia, and grandeurs of our spectacular Rocky Mountains. Never failing to observe and enjoy all those creatures, along the way. Especially her large mastiff dogs, she loved so much!
Breezing along with her blonde hair flowing in the wind. In what is known to all of us as her bright blue “Jesus jeep”. She was in her ‘earthly’ heaven.
A wonderful, caring gift. Created by the spiritual influence of Jesus. Brought about by the heart felt love of Pastor Barry and his wife, Pastor Melissa Lowe. Of that wonderful Living Faith Community Church in Maplecrest, NY. All made possible by the most generous, heart warming feelings and efforts of the members in attendance.
Virginia passed away peacefully and happy, but unexpectedly! In the presence of her beloved sister, Rosemary and husband Kevin Cummings at their residence in Damascus, Md.
Virginia resided in Hensonville, NY the past several years. A graduate of Gilboa Central School and Delaware County Occupational Center in Grand Gorge, NY. Employed summers at the well-known Thompson House Resort in Windham, NY. She also worked at the Christian Appalachian Project in Kentucky. A former Americorp worker for the State of New Jersey Forest Resource Education Center. As of late, spent much of her efforts involved with her beloved pastors, Barry and Melissa at her Living Faith Community Church in Maplecrest, NY. Teaching Sunday school. Watching over children of the church. Cleaning of the church along with encouraging souls in the nursing home ministry. Last but not least, babysitting Pastor Barry and Pastor Melissa’s enjoyable children.
Speaking as Virginia’s dad, I invite everyone interested to be welcome in a celebration of Virginia’s life on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 10:30 a.m in Virginia’s enjoyable memory held at her Living Faith Community Church.
