Dow also returns Koweek donation
COLUMBIA COUNTY — Ken Dow’s state Senate campaign has returned a donation made by Hudson Judicial candidate Richard Koweek.
Koweek’s $100 donation to Dow, the Democratic candidate for New York’s 41st Senate seat, was in violation of a rule by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct.
“Richard Koweek contacted our campaign last Thursday, October 30th. Of course, we returned the check immediately,” stated Carol Sacks, Treasurer for the Dow for Senate campaign via e-mail sent Sunday morning.
Koweek had also made a $50 donation to Anne Rubin, the Democratic-backed candidate for the 103rd New York State Assembly seat, which was also returned.
Koweek said he had been unaware of the rule and asked for the money back when he found out.
